Dining Experience
A diner, you say? To any food-allergy kid, simply the word “diner” is music to the ears. And yes, this breakfast place is exactly the place to get cozy and enjoy a breakfast allergen-free and stress-free.
The Snooze A.M. Eatery is nestled in the Gulch: a new, trendy area outside Nashville, TN. The Gulch offers a variety of entertainment, luxury housing options, and above all else, food.
Along with their extensive drinks menu, with alternative milks and safe practices, was a filter on their website that allowed the viewer to know what they could and couldn’t order. On the website, one would simply input their allergies and sensitivities, and all the dishes on the menu would pop up and tell you if they could or couldn’t be accommodated to your needs, or if they didn’t need to be. Along with this, make sure you follow up with the staff on what would be safe, to cross-reference. Our waitress was very sweet and agreed to go back to the kitchen to clarify and double-check everything.
PA to all foodies!
Probably one of the best on the menu was the Avocado Toast, which thankfully, was very easily allergen-free. The toast could be exchanged for gluten-free, sourdough, rye, or white bread. I ordered the sourdough, and because I’m allergic to eggs, the waitress removed that from my order as well as reassured me that the eggs are added after the breads are toasted to minimize cross-contamination. On top of the sourdough was a lemony, refreshing avocado smash, cloaked in cooked peppers, tomatoes, and onions, topped with heavenly bacon.
To wrap up, the Snooze Eatery was a comforting and satisfying end to my spring break trip to Nashville. The safe practices combined with the accommodation filters and awareness made to create a great brunch with the people that I love!
